ABLUTION - A MEANS OF PURITY - REWARDS & PUNISHMENTS !

ABLUTION AS PER QURAN

O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful.

[Holy Quran 5:6]

KEY TO SALAH N PARADISE

Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA) narrated that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said,”They key to paradise is the salah and the key to the salah is ablution."

[Ahmed 14668]
[Sunan Tirmidhi #4]

ABLUTION AS PER SUNNAH

Narrated by Humran(the slave of 'Uthman) I saw 'Uthman bin 'Affan(ra) asking for a tumbler of water (and when it was brought) he poured water over his hands and washed them thrice and then put his right hand in the water container and rinsed his mouth, washed his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out. then he washed his face and forearms up to the elbows thrice, passed his wet hands over his head and washed his feet up to the ankles thrice. Then he said, "Allah's Apostle(pbuh) said

FORGIVE PAST SINS BY PERFORMING TWO RAKAT PRAYER

'If anyone Performs ablution like that of mine and offers a two-rakat prayer during which he does not think of anything else (not related to the present prayer) then his past sins will be forgiven"

FORGIVE SINS B/W CONCURRENT SALAH'S

After performing the ablution 'Uthman(ra) said, "I am going to tell you a Hadith which I would not have told you, I heard the Prophet saying, 'If a man performs ablution perfectly and then offers the compulsory congregational prayer, Allah will forgive his sins committed between that (prayer) and the (next) prayer till he offers it.

Sahih Bhukari [Volume 1, Book 4, Number 161]

PURITY - A MEANS OF WASHING ALL THE SINS AWAY

Sayyidina Abu Huraira (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said, "When a Muslim slave or a Believer washes his face while performing ablution then, with the water, or the last drop of water, all his sins committed with his eyes are washed away. When he washes his hands then all sins commited with them are washed away with water or the last drop of water till comes out pure from sins."

[Ahmed 8026, Muslim 244]
[Tirmidhi #2]

HEELS ON FIRE

Narated By ‘Abdullah bin Amr, The Prophet(ra) remained behind us on a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the ‘Asr prayer which was over-due and we were just passing wet hands over our feet (not washing them thoroughly) so he addressed us in a loud voice saying twice or thrice, “Save your heels from the fire.”

Sahih Bhukari [Volume 1,Book 003,Hadith 164]
